DD#1 came home on Saturday.  I went to NYC on Tuesday evening.  I finished moving her into her apartment.  She started moving on May 1 and also started working the next day.  The moving company kept promising to pick up the packing boxes and materials but never showed up.  So I got rid of them in the apt's recycling bin.  Do you know how much room the boxes took up?  A LOT! Well, she broke her leg and ankle at work on Wednesday.  The story is she had a fight with a tug (similar to a golf cart) and lost.  She thought it was tipping and was going to roll over so she jumped.  Landed on the side of her ankle and the force shattered the ankle and broke her leg.  She is now the owner of a plate in her leg and 8 - 10 screws holding the plate and ankle together.  Going back to her apartment this evening with wheelchair, walker and crutches.  I am going to see her tomorrow and hopefully she will be cleared to fly home on Saturday.

She found a studio apartment near the beach rents for $1000 including utilities.  Moved in Saturday, unpacked the kitchen and bathroom so she can eat and shower.  Since she worked Sunday and I came home we did not get anything else done.  She got her TV up and running yesterday.  She is working this week so not much else will get done.  Might go back in a couple weeks to help finish arranging the apartment.  She is about 20 minutes by car and 1 1/2 hrs by public transportation from work  Guess which form of transportation she is using!

I check in once in a while, the group has been quiet.
 I have been busy with quilting the last 6 months, haven't done a whole lot of embroidery.  I am also trying to learn to silkscreen.

I am going with her tomorrow to look for a place.  She reports on May 1 but she might be sleeping in her car if we do not find something.
