Bad Girls of Sewing: RememberDD#1 moved to NY

   Well, she broke her leg and ankle at work on Wednesday.  The story is she had a fight with a tug (similar to a golf cart) and lost.  She thought it was tipping and was going to roll over so she jumped.  Landed on the side of her ankle and the force shattered the ankle and broke her leg.  She is now the owner of a plate in her leg and 8 - 10 screws holding the plate and ankle together.  Going back to her apartment this evening with wheelchair, walker and crutches.  I am going to see her tomorrow and hopefully she will be cleared to fly home on Saturday.

	DD#1 came home on Saturday. I went to NYC on Tuesday evening. I finished moving her into her apartment. She started moving on May 1 and also started working the next day. The moving company kept promising to pick up the packing boxes and materials but never showed up. So I got rid of them in the apt's recycling bin. Do you know how much room the boxes took up? A LOT! After getting rid of the boxes I organized and got her apartment ready for her to be gone a long time. Hopefully the doctor is wrong and she can go back to work before the 6 month prediction

	Terry how is she going to pay the rent for 6 months. New York is expensive.

	She is still being paid as it was an on the job injury. The company pays part and OJI in New York pays part. The only big expense she has is her apartment which her pay will cover. The other expenses are very small, so living with me she might even get a little money saved.

	That is a good thing. When my son had to use his disability insurance in 2008 by the time they took out his 401K payments, medical insurance and dis insurance his checks were usually 0.00 or close to it. His disability payment was 240.00 a week but he didn't see much of it. He was out for 9 long months. Guess who got to pay his bills a lot.
